GREEN BAY – Though the snow won’t be nearly as strong as what Green Bay experienced Thursday, fans can expect some snow in the air for the first “Monday Night Football” game this season for the Green Bay Packers.

The Packers take on the New Orleans Saints at 7:15 p.m. Monday at Lambeau Field.

What’s the weather forecast for Monday in Green Bay?

With temperatures hovering around freezing and precipitation in the forecast, a mix of snow and freezing drizzle is expected Monday, which could make for slick roads for fans headed to Green Bay.

A storm system is expected to arrive Sunday night that will progress from snow to a mix of freezing drizzle Sunday night into early Monday, turning to mainly snow by Monday afternoon, and returning to a light mix Monday evening, the weather service said.

As of Sunday morning, the forecast from the National Weather Service Green Bay calls for:

  • Monday: An 80% chance of precipitation with the possible combination of snow, drizzle and freezing rain before noon. After that, snow, likely mixed with drizzle between noon and 3 p.m., followed by possible drizzle, snow, freezing rain after 3 p.m. There will be “little or no ice accumulation” but we may see 1-2 inches of snow.
  • Monday night: Mostly cloudy. Low of 25.
